With the school year officially beginning tomorrow, I thought I'd take some time out to write a blog, updating all of my loyal readers on the happenings of my life as of late. So here we go.

I like being an RA. I have an awesome leadership staff. I'm pumped about the year, and I think lots of good things will come out of it.

Nicole, my roomie who gives me full-on robot chubbies (HA!), taught me how to crochet beanies, so we've been crocheting up a storm. We've sat on the couch, crocheting and watching moveis, for the past 3 days. It's so relaxing. I love that girl. She makes me laugh all the time. We lay in our beds and giggle before we fall asleep every night. Fun!

The parentals came here to take Kalee, Meg, Brent, Nicole, and I out to lunch today. It's weird to think that I've been away from home for 3 weeks already and haven't attended a single class. Ugh, I feel like I've been here for so long.

Janeen and I went on our first road trip of the year. It started out just as a quick run to get a drink somewhere before we went to dinner, but it turned into quite the excursion. Note: Bippus, Indiana does NOT have a small diner or anything along those lines. So don't go there if you want to sit at a small-town cafe. You'll just end up disappointing yourself. Since Bippus was a big, fatty negative, we kept driving from town to town, but nothing was open. Labor Day, who knew? We ended up getting chicken tenders and barbequed chicken strips from Wal-mart in some city. 99 cents for a pound of each. We weren't sure how many came in a pound... it's safe to say that I definitely have a full bag of chicken strips in my refrigerator. So that was fun.

Nozomi is back. YAY!!

I went with Andrew's family to an Orthodox church yesterday. It was a good experience. I love going to different churches and seeing how different people do things. I liked the service, but I dont foresee myself attending there all the time. Oh, and he can walk!! I was walking towards his front door when he came out the door in the garage. I did a double take. he was up and moving around. You know, just walking around, as if he had been doign it all his life. Ok, I know that he really has been, but I guess I was just used to seeing crutches. The mind is such a fickle thing. Right...

I've seen lots of people that I had forgotten about over the summer. That sounds terrible, I know, but it's true. Out of sight, out of mind.

Mel Basch is the coolest. Ever. 3rd floor is the place to be.

I finally talked to Kristyn the Xanga lady. Excellent! That's blog-worthy. Hello, Kristyn.

I heard "Puff the Magic Dragon" on the radio tonight. I've never heard the whole song played on the radio before. It was banned in the 60's because of potential references to marijuana. My grandma has the sheet music to that song and I used to play it on her piano on occasion. It was a really random song to hear on the radio. Little Jackie Paper loved that rascal Puff...

Hmm, I guess that's about it for now. My feeble mind is rapidly approaching the good-for-nothing-but-a-few-good-laughs state, so I guess I should finish writing before I make myself laugh at things that aren't really funny. because that tends to happen. Just ask all of my roommates.
